Is That a Laser on Your Moleskine or Are You Just Happy to See Me?

A friend of mine has created a business model that could only thrive with the materialistic, vogue, sickeningly pedestrian consumer branding mania that drives discretionary spending in the 21st century. Karina at Etchstar uses lasers to fashions cell phones, laptops and other electronic (or not) devices with personal messages, artwork and custom designs for the depraved likes of Paris Hilton (That's Hot) or Alexa Winner (Do You Know Who I Am?). I wouldn't be putting my money where the laser is - unless you count that recent order to mock up my MacBook with Dior. Oh wait...

Now Karina's gone and dunnit. You can actually laser the item you hold most dear - that's right, she will actually laser your Moleskine. Brilliant. My flash pick is the dollar sign - if you must go generic.

Then again, why pander to the socialite in you when you can show off an ensemble of FOREX codes or a Sullivan sketch?

Stunning. Really now.
